2012 Graduation Day at Addis Ababa University
The 2012 graduation ceremony at Addis Ababa University took place on Saturday 7 July. Among the graduates were 18 girls, who had been supported by the charity. 9 of the girls formed part of the second cohort of students, which commenced in the academic year 2008-2009 and 9 of the girls formed part of the third cohort of students, which commenced in the academic year 2009-2010.
Of the total 18, 4 graduated in chemistry, 5 graduated in geology, 1 graduated in earth science, 7 graduated in biology and 1 graduated in statistics. Wzt. Lidet Mekonnen BSc, who graduated in geology, achieved a cumulative GPA in excess of 3.00 and was awarded a small cash prize by the trustees.
